celebrates Free Comic Book Day 2012!

Congratulations comic book fans!!! - you made FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2012 the best ever attended event in KINGS Comics history!

Customers came from far and wide for FCBD this year - we had loads of people from Gosford, Newcastle and the Blue Mountains. One guy had travelled from Bathurst and as well as quite a few came down from Brisbane for the event.

And everyone was rewarded with FREE comic books ALL day. Our special KINGS customised comics meant that we had thousands of comic books to give away (and trust me we gave away thousands today!) and we had plenty of the other titles to supplement the free comic book haul! We did start to run out mid-afternoon of a few titles, but everyone was very understanding - thanks!

We had loads of competition prizes given away and we were stoked by the number of families and kids that turned up for the event. Many people turned up this year after missing a couple of years, but it seems as though the word for FCBD spread like wildfire this year - and the multitudes of true believers came!

THE AVENGERS movie and the DC NEW 52 relaunch have got people excited about comic books again and that's fantastic. Our STAR WARS comics flew out of the boxes, as well as the spiffy MOUSE GUARD HC. And the exclusive FCBD Thor Heroclix didn't last - sorry again for any clickers that missed out!

KINGS wants to thank again all our loyal customers who turned up today. We appreciate your support and we love being here for you - helping you with all your geeky needs and nerdy necessities. We understand what you want and we are always keen to have your feedback so let us know what you think we can improve on for next year's event. And we hope everyone was able to grab some great bargains at our Sale today.

We're going to try and make FCBD 2013 even bigger and better next year and you as you may or may not know, FCBD also falls on the 4th May in 2013, so it's going to be a big year for STAR WARS next year!

The line was down the block and around the corner at one stage....and it stayed very, very long until around 4.30pm. We haven't seen a line like this since we first opened! - awesome Thanks for turning out guys!.

Glad we had plenty of comics for everyone - sorry if anyone missed out their favourite later in the day, but everyone got their special KINGS Comics editions of the DC The New 52 and the Marvel Comics Avengers titles!

SO MANY cosplay-ers!!!!! Thanks for getting into the spirit of the event....!!!!
