KINGS Comics Wins Another International Retail Award!

KINGS delivered a knockout blow at the inaugural Diamond Comics Retail Best Practices Awards last Thursday night in Chicago, USA when we were awarded the "Best Graphic Novels Section" category.  Diamond Comics Distributors is the biggest distributor to the comic book specialty retail market and The Diamond BPAs were established to "identify and honour comic book specialty retailers that demonstrate 'best practices' in their stores, thereby offering their patrons and community a consistently appealing shopping experience."

KINGS previously won the 1996 International Will Eisner "Spirit of Comics" Retailer Award at the ComicCon International, San Diego.  This prestigious award recognises excellence in comic book retailing and service.  The award also recognises the commitment of KINGS Comics to promotion of comic books & graphic storytelling, which we do through events such as store signings, convention planning (our OzCon events during the 90s and Free Comic Book Day) and regular media commentary & support (currently with The Weekly Geek and Kapow!).

Congratulations go to all the KINGS crew who worked on our submission - you did a fantastic job making us look good.  And also we have to thank you - our customers for supporting KINGS Comics over the last 26 years - your tastes have guided KINGS to become (we hope) one of the best comic stores in the world! We're committed to bringing you the biggest and most comprehensive range of comics and graphic novels in Australia for a long time to come!
