Shipment Spotlight - 16 August

Kingsters, I'm a little sad! I didn't work this Saturday so I missed an awesome day with the Winter City Creators Patrick and Carl Purcell and Top Cow's COO Matt Hawkins. Its times like this I'm reminded of what Mark Twain said; "The best way to cheer yourself up is to cheer someone else up" So I'm going to take Marky Mark's advice and make you guys giddy with delight!

This week we're receiving some awesome tee's that I know you cool kids will want to rock! With this Captain America Tee you can run around pretending you're the Star Spangled Superhero!  Which lets be honest, we all want to.
Also this week we get to start being all excited for the Jokers Return to the 'New 52', Missing face and all! The Skinned Face Joker Tee is sure to go as fast as you can yell "Ohmystarslookoutforthatcrazypersonhehasajokerbomb!" That's pretty fast ...

 I'm sure you're all as excited and overjoyed for the announcement of the Guardians of the Galaxy movie as we are. Space Racoons! Talking Russian Dogs! Green dudes with four arms! Wizards! What's there to not be excited about?! Lucky for you, you've got until 2014 to get all learned up on some Guardian characters! Why not start this week with Adam Warlock? Essential Warlock TP Vol 1 is a great place to get your first fix of Guardian goodness!

I can't dance. Well I can, everyone can. I just can't dance well. I'm that guy at clubs that sits at the bar nodding his head thinking "Yay! $20 drinks and great music!" *sarcasm* that's why it's nice to have the comfort of bobble heads in my life. It's awesome to know that Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Batman and Bane dance like I do! That would be a fun club. It would be inside a Tardis! A Tardis that bounces around and shakes. Bobbles if you will. Oh! And K-9 would be serving us drinks! Nice! I wanna' go!

Well if clubbing with super heroes isn't for you, you must be a bit of a quiet person, maybe more of a Peter Parker-ish type of guy or girl? Science instead of Shots? Digits instead of Dancing? That's cool, "Everyone's a hero in their own way" at least that's what Captain Hammer taught me. Well for you stay at home kingsters we have some science! SCIENCE POTATO! Vader in a Box. The name says it all! Darth Vader, chilling in a box. It comes in a classic force-choke pose, with a customizable space-station display, a booklet of his most chilling quotes, alongside full colour illustrations and a sheet of stickers! STICKERS! WEEEE! Vader in a Box.

This week's shipment brings with it some great single issues to keep your eye on as well! The mucho anticipated Before Watchmen: Rorschach begins. Captain Marvel makes her second appearance, and if it's anything like the first it's sure to be a sell-out hit! The IDW Treasury Editions Continue with Dr Who; Dave Gibbons illustrated classic run collected into an oversized edition.
Homecoming #1 is the dark teen mystery/superhero title from Michael Turner and Scott Lobdell.
One of my favourite TV returns with the original writing staff! Jericho continues in the shows continuity with a whole bunch of new stories! Finally and definitely not leastley-ish is Michael Avon Oemings: The Victories #1; Not long from now, all that will stand between you and evil are the Victories-six heroes sworn to protect us from crime, corruption, and the dark. As one member cracks down on the violence, he discovers himself touched by a painful past through the psychic powers of Link. Will this trauma cause him to self-destruct or continue the fight?
